Frequently Asked Questions
How frequent are sessions and how long will therapy last?
When you start individual therapy with me, I typically recommend coming weekly at first. This allows us to build a solid foundation and rapport as we complete the assessment and introduction phases of therapy.
Therapy lasts for as long as it is helpful in empowering you to achieve your goals.
What happens in therapy?
Together, we will work with various evidence-based treatment modalities and practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to make change happen.
Clients tend to describe my style as caring, empathetic, straight-forward, energetic, engaging, and thought-provoking.
Will insurance pay for my treatment?
While I do not accept insurance, I am able to provide superbills to clients to access out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurance provider to see if they will reimburse a portion of the cost for out-of-network psychotherapy services.
